Uncorrected machine reading. This text was read by machine (Apple Vision OCR) from a scan of a newspaper page, and the page was cut into articles by machine, at the headlines found by their type size. Nothing has been corrected: expect misread words, text from a neighbouring article, and titles that are the machine reading of the headline, some of them only fragments. Quote from the scan, not from this page.
How this article was cut and titled: headline found by type size in the OCR geometry (split_tabloid.py); 6-6 of 6; machine-segmented newspaper page; uncorrected Vision OCR.

Labour Party have simply refused to resign after a vote of no confidence in them by the members. they do not intend to go ahead with the office block after all.

Another success has recentiy been scored on the question of Ireland, with an overwhelming vote at a recent Market Ward meeting in favour of the withdrawal of British Iroops and recognition of the right of self-determination for the Irish nation. This was especially inportant since there was a unan imous vote for the motion by a number of Pakistani workers cynically recruited as voting fodder by the machine. These workers are, in tact, highly class conscious and have quickly realised what chey are being used for.

The importance of these campaigns is that they begin to chall enge the hold of the Dunnett/Carroll machine on a politics basis, welling logether a coberent lett that can carry forward the class struggle locally and nationally, This will enable the opposition to avoid the late of previous such groupings, who placed all their ego in the Labour Party basket only to see them trodden on by the intervention. of Transport House against the left.
