the authoritarian propaganda-session was handled. After this "act of great discourtesy, the pupils concerned were warned that any further breaches of the rules would lead to immediate suspension and a report being sent to the board of governors. The two comrades concerned were caught not attending morning Assembly and VOIC automatically suspended - it would have been "dishonourable' for the Principal to break his previous agreement' with them. Both comrades have now been reinstated in the school and are continuing their attack on the Establishment.
Yours fraternally, (name and address withheld)
IS believes that such an organisation must take the form of a single, democratically centralised revolutionary party; but even before the theoretical and organisational agreement required to this end has been actually gained, a united organisation is needed. Such a body would attract a mass of militants who cannot be reached by any of the existing organisations; when all those taking part could examine their differences light of COTILIO experience, and not, as at present, in the spirit of abstract sectarianism. İS's unity proposals therefore still stand; and it is because the comrades of the SLL, or at least its leadership, reject this perspective that any debate with them must seem as sterile and irrelevant as the last Cliff-Healey debate did to your reporter.
There is one lactual mistake in your report which I should like to correct. Together with others, I am quoted as defending. "the IS position on the Americans in Korea". To the Korean war was not raised in the debate, as or my recollection this aspect of the imperianstn Dear Comrades, I have returned from Berlin, where I was talking to the missions of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the NLF, on behalf of the monthly broadsheet SYNIC.
Both missions wanted me to pass on to members of the solidarity movement in this country their thanks for the work done, and also to tell people that if ever there are any comrades visiting Berlin (East, not West), who would like to go and talk to them, they would be only too glad to receive them, and discuss with them.
The NLF person with whom I was talking, Dinh Van Niem, the Second Secretary of their, mission there, made one point that I think should be passed on. I was talking to him about the various actions in this country over the past year, especially the demonstrations last March and October, and mentioned that the main objective of the first one of them was the American Emhasev while a small group tried M.DALEY position of solidarity, rather than provok clashes outside the American Embassy with British police, especially as we have no char of succeeding in occupying the building.
1 am aware that the vast majority of thi active at the present time in solidarity movement in this country take t position anyway, but I thought it might be wo pointing out to Dwarf readers that the NLF happier with the turn which our activity taken.
Although both Dinh Van Niem and the DI First Secretary, with whom I also spo emphasised that they would be very grateful material support, particularly in the field medical aid, they did make quite clear that ti thought our first priority was in the field informing public opinion in this country abr the continuing state of the war, the disgui American escalation in South Vietnam, and fraudulent nature of the American position the Paris peace talks.
I would be prepared to help put anyone contact with the two missions in Berlin w might be going there.
